J.A. Laporte to close early for the 2020 season

Dear customers,

We hope you’ve been enjoying the heat and sunshine! Our staff members have been busy helping you keep things green and gorgeous around your yard.

Today, we want to share a business update with you — our valued customers. The Laporte family has made the difficult decision to close for the year on August 29, 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic has made this a challenging season for our business, for many reasons. We have worked very hard to offer a curbside pick-up service, but with the busy season behind us — and a dwindling inventory — we feel strongly that this is the right decision for our customers.

Despite the physical, mental, and emotional hurdles of 2020, we feel incredibly blessed. We are so very thankful for the encouragement and support we’ve received over the spring and summer months. We want to say a huge “THANK YOU” to our hard-working staff members, and to our many loyal customers.

Should you have any questions regarding replacement plants or overwintering procedures, please send them to us before August 29.

See you in the spring of 2021!

The team at J.A. Laporte Flowers & Nursery

Un grand merci! I’ve been a customer for at least 30 years…. and you did not fail me in this strange year. Your commitment allowed us to better enjoy our time home. Thank you. Have a good rest. See you next spring!

Just a note to thank the Laporte family and all their staff for making many successful gardens in 2020. And to congratulate you in making a wise but tough decision to close early. You all deserve a rest after running around in the heat to fill my orders….and all I did was drive up in my car to pick them up. Special thanks to the friendly greeters and the soil guy! See you next year!
